CANNON LATITUDE CONSUMER PROMOTION (The Promotion)

 

For an opportunity to win a luxury weekend away in New Zealand at the Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa valued up to AUD $5,000 (including GST), purchase a Cannon Latitude 1000 (item no. 11020) or Cannon Latitude 1500 (item no. 11022) Gas Log Heater in-store, register your purchase via www.latitudepromotion.com.au and follow the entry instructions.  This promotion is for Australian residents only.

 

1.      Introduction

These terms and conditions apply to the Cannon Latitude Consumer Promotion promoted by IXL Home Pty Ltd (ABN 25 123 411 898) (“The Promoter”).

 

This promotion is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.  Each entry will be individually judged, based upon individual creative merit.  All entries must be an independent creation by the entrant and free of any third-party rights.  Entries must not have been published previously and/or have been used to win prizes in any other promotions.

 

2.      Duration

The promotional period commences 12.00am on 1st March 2020 and closes 11.59pm on 30th June 2020 (AEST). Your purchase of a Cannon Latitude 1000 or Cannon Latitude 1500 Gas Log Heater must have occurred during the competition window. Your entry must be received by the Promoter no later than the closing time of the competition window.

 

 3.      Who can participate

Any Australian citizen or resident over the age of eighteen (18) who purchases a Cannon Latitude 1000 or Cannon Latitude 1500 Gas Log Heater in-store between 1st March and 30th June 2020. Proof of Purchase must be retained.

 

4.      How to participate

(a)    To participate simply purchase a Cannon Latitude 1000 or Cannon Latitude 1500 Gas Log Heater, register your product at www.latitudepromotion.com.au including first name, last name, contact phone number, email address, date of purchase, place of purchase and write a description (in 25 words or less) as instructed on the website, on what you like the most about the Cannon Latitude range, and email a photo of your receipt to marketing@ixl.com.au with subject line of “Cannon  Promotion”

 

Applicable models:

Latitude 1000 (item no. 11020)

Latitude 1500 (item no. 11022)

 

(b)    One model equates to one entry. You cannot register the same model more than once. Maximum number of entries is 2. Proof of purchase must be supplied. If you breach this clause, you must return any prize awarded to you or payment of its value to us on our demand.

 

(c)    The Promoter reserves the right to validate and check the authenticity of the entry and purchase receipt, and to disqualify any claimant for tampering with the entry process, or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. Any entries made with a stolen, forged, unrecognised or tampered with proof of purchase will be deemed void.

 

(d)    Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this competition are ineligible to enter.

 

5.      Judging

(a)    The Promoter will review all entries and select one (1) winner that describe what they like the most about the Cannon Latitude range. 

 

(b)    All entries will be reviewed and judged at IXL Home Pty Ltd, 1K Marine Parade, Abbotsford, Vic 3067 on the 3rd July 2020.

 

(c)    The winner will be notified by telephone or in writing on or before the 6th July 2020 and their name will be published and announced on Facebook, Cannon Living @CannonLiving, on 7th July 2020.  The Promotor will ask for the winner’s contact details including name, contact telephone number, email address, home postcode and delivery address.

 

 (d)    Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

6.      Consent to use entry

By participating in this competition, each participant acknowledges and consents to the Promotor using their name, image, creative work, likeness, quote or any other form of intellectual property submitted for any purpose, including for marketing and competition purposes anywhere in the world and in any form of media. The Promotor will use this information in accordance with its privacy policy, the Privacy Act and any other applicable laws.

 

7.      Prizes

(a)    A luxury weekend (Friday night and Saturday night) away in Queenstown, New Zealand at the Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa valued up to AUD $5,000 (including GST).  Details as below:

 

  • Air ticket in Economy Class for 2 to Queenstown, New Zealand - The winner and the companion air tickets.  The date of the air ticket can be changeable but no cancellation protection.
  • A deluxe room at Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa
  • Buffet breakfast for two (2) for Saturday and Sunday morning

 

(b)   The winner will book travel arrangements through Stars Travel (Level 1, 136 Broadway, Newmarket, Auckland, New Zealand, Telephone +64 9-524 9922, NZBN 9429032741896) and must claimed by 6th September 2020.  No travel is permitted between 20th December 2020 and 10 January 2021.  There can be no changes to travel arrangements once tickets have been issued or accommodation bookings once the reservation is confirmed.  The winner can nominate a travel companion to travel with as well as a preferred capital city (Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney) of departure in Australia.  Booking commission fees to Stars Travel is also be covered in the prize value of AUD $5,000.  The prize must only be used in connection with return flights for two (2) people from all capital cities in Australia to Queenstown in New Zealand and accommodation at Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa at 79 Peninsula Road, Kawarau Village, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand, on Friday night and Saturday night for one (1) room.  The winner and their companion must find their own way to the designated capital city and be ready to travel on the same flight to and from Queenstown.

 

(c)  The winner (and their travel companion) is responsible for all other expenses including spending money, meals (unless specified), drinks, transport to from airport, transfers, laundry charges, activities, incidentals, taxes, energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs.   The promoter will not be responsible for any missed flights or connecting flights.  A failure to travel on booked flights (including any connecting flights) may result in forfeiture of the remaining prize if the winner or companion is unable to arrive in Queenstown by alternative means at their own cost. 

 

(d)   Any additional expenditure (e.g. if booking travel during peak season) outside of the value AUD $5,000 is the sole responsibility of the winner.  The winner (and their travel companion) is responsible for all other expenses.  Any failure to nominate a travel companion will see the proportion of the prize attributed to the expenses of the companion forfeited and the value cannot be assigned to the expenses of the winner. 

 

(e)  The date of travel is based on the availability of the air tickets and the hotel accommodation.  Please allow minimum of 21 days’ notice when making the booking.  The winner (and their travel companion) must travel together on all prize travel.

 

(f)    Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers.  The winner may be required to present their credit card at time of accommodation check in.

 

8.      Prize conditions

(a)     Winners must provide proof of purchase to receive their prize. This prize is not transferrable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

 

(b)    The winner agrees and acknowledge that if they win the prize, they will not, and their companions will not, seek to or actually sell or otherwise promote their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation, including the Internet for profit.  Any official mentions of CANNON or the promoter will be permitted at the discretion of the Promoter.

 

(c)    The winner acknowledges and accepts that activities that form part of the prize are inherently dangerous and may result in death, injury, incapacity, damage to property or other losses.  The promoter is not responsible for any acts of god, such as adverse weather conditions or industrial action or terrorism or civil commotion that may take place.  The winner must make his or her own enquiries about local issues and conditions at destinations prior to travel.

 

(d)    The winner and their travel companions are responsible for complying with health and any other government requirements that may apply to the prize. All prize travel will be subject to the carrier’s General Conditions of Carriage. It is the personal responsibility of the winner and their travel companions to ensure that they have valid travel insurance and travel documentation, including valid passports and visas, which meet the requirements of government authorities at the relevant destinations. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the sole responsibility of the traveller/s. The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. The winner should obtain travel advice from independent sources, such as the website of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

 

(e)    Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.  The entrant is responsible for ensuring that they and their travelling companion are fit to travel and have received appropriate immunisations and /or health checks prior to taking the prize and the entrant agrees and acknowledges that they may be liable for these additional items of expenditure.  For the avoidance of doubt, the promoter will not be responsible for any loss or injury incurred by the winner or their companion.

 

 

(f)    By entering this competition, the participants accept and acknowledge full responsibility for their decision to participate in this holiday should they be chosen as winner. The winner releases the Promoter, their related bodies corporate, affiliates, officers, agents and employees, from all liabilities, loss and damage of any kind arising at any time out of or in connection with the acceptance of, and participation in, the prize. Without limiting the foregoing, the released parties not be liable for any injury, sickness or death, property loss or damage or other direct or indirect loss or damage of any kind, howsoever sustained or incurred, in connection with or arising out of the holiday or any other aspect of the prize.

(g)    During the entire duration of the prize, a nominated companion must be over 18 years of age. The winner and his/her companion must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. Itinerary to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. 

(h)    In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or suspend or modify a prize, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.

 

9.     Prize collection

The winner will be notified by telephone or in writing on or before the 6th July 2020 and their name will be published and announced on Facebook, Cannon Living @CannonLiving, from 7th July 2020.

 

10.   Prize availability

If the Promoter is unable to contact the winner for whatever reasons, the Promoter will re-judge the remaining entries and nominate a winner at IXL Home, 1K Marine Parade, Abbotsford, VIC 3067.

 

11.     Unclaimed Prizes

In the instance of an unclaimed prize alternative winner(s) will be announced on 6th August 2020 at IXL Home, 1K Marine Parade, Abbotsford, VIC 3067 at 12pm (AEST).

 

12.   Taxes

Any tax payable as a result of a prize being awarded or received will be the responsibility of the winner.

 

13.   Tampering and other matters

(a)    If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned for any reasons beyond our control that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, we reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.

 

(b)    We do not accept any responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries.

 

14.   Limitation of liability

The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, in connection with the competition, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

 

15.     These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

 

16.      This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.
